Butchers, processors and packers

The Well Hung Meat Company is looking for hardworking and reliable butchers, meat processors and packers to join our skilled and passionate butchery team. Experience not essential for the packer roles as full training will be given and you will have the opportunity to develop butchery skills.

Duties include:


  • Boning, retail trimming and processing (e.g. sausage making) - all are desirable but don't worry if you only have current experience in one area

All roles:

  • Portioning products

  • Packing

  • Weighing and labelling packaged goods ready for dispatch

  • Quality Control

  • Filling in production records.

  • Cleaning work areas

  • Delivering goods to local courier

  • Computer recorded dispatch

  • Face to face customer service when required

Skills required:

  • Full clean driving licence & own transport essential (due to rural location)

  • Excellent levels of personal hygiene, efficiency and punctuality are essential

  • Current Food Safety Certificate an advantage (up to date food safety training to at least basic level)

  • Computer skills desirable

  • Good communication and team working skills

This job is offered on a variable hours basis

Pay: Packers from £6.75 - Butchers £competitive (all depending on skills and experience)
