Terms and Conditions for The Well Hung Meat Company
These terms and conditions were last updated on 19/03/2014. Use of our website and the sale and purchase of goods from the website are governed by our terms and conditions as set out below. “We” or “Our” means The Well Hung Meat Company. “You” or “your” means the person accessing, using or ordering from our website over the Internet.
1. Prices, description and availability of goods
Prices are subject to change without notice and all goods are sold subject to availability. Prices other than those in GBP are shown for guidance purposes only. Where goods are temporarily out of stock we will contact you so that you may choose between a refund on the item, having it shipped when it is back in stock or selecting an alternative product. Whilst we take the utmost care to ensure the product descriptions, pictures, information and prices are accurate we do not accept liability for any inaccuracies, errors or omissions. Colour and texture may vary slightly from those shown on the website due to the limitations of Internet technology. Orders are accepted at our sole discretion and we maintain the right to decline orders without giving an explanation.
2. Sales tax
Value Added Tax (VAT) is calculated on shipping destination. When applicable it is included in the price for orders shipped to destinations within the European Union (EU).
3. Payment methods
You may order online using a credit / debit card (We accept Master Card, Visa (not Electron)). You may order by telephoning us and pay using your credit / debit card. All prices are in pounds sterling (£) and credit / debit card transactions for orders outside the UK will be converted by the card company at their current exchange rates.
4. Christmas Orders
Christmas orders and deposits. All Christmas products are sold on a non-refundable basis. We will charge you £25 on checkout, which reserves your order. The remainder of your order will be charged a week before your box is due for dispatch. For all items marked as priced per kilo you will be charged in accordance to the weight of the product dispatched.
5. Delivery arrangements
Your shopping basket displays the goods you have purchased and you get to choose the available delivery date/time/details. We will notify you if your goods are not able to be despatched within this timescale for any reason. The costs for delivery are shown depending on the shipping destination and the delivery service selected. Any delivery times quoted are estimates, based on availability and normal delivery time.
6. Cooling off period and cancellation / returns
We want you to be satisfied every time you shop with us. Our "no quibbles" guarantee means that if for any reason you are unhappy with the goods purchased you may cancel your order and we will issue a credit or exchange the product, which is entirely at our discretion. If you wish to cancel your regular 'repeat' order, you must inform us by email or telephone 5 working days before your delivery is due. After that time your order will have been raised and charged and cannot be cancelled. You cannot empty your basket online.

Any use, printing or copying of materials on this website, other than in the course of browsing, selecting products and ordering from us, is strictly prohibited. Any framing of this website is prohibited.

Information requested when registering or ordering goods (including your credit / debit card details) is encrypted with SSL (Secure Socket Layer), the industry standard encryption software. 12. Refunds. The company reserve the right to offer conditions on refunds for products based on quality reasons. We may ask you to provide evidence of any quality issue, and could make arrangements for offending products to be collected and returned to us. Failure to provide evidence, or to make the product available for collection, could compromise your ability to have a refund. All refunds are at the companies discretion.
13. Notification of Changes
The contract will be governed by the laws of England and Wales and you agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the English courts. These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
15. Competitions - Twitter and Facebook Prize Draws
Are open to users over the age of 18 who have a UK address.
Only one entry per username will be entered in the draw.
To enter, users must follow, retweet, like and share.
The winner will be selected at random and announced on social media.
Winners should wait for up to 28 days for delivery of their prize.
By entering the competition, entrants agree that their username will be announced publicly on social media.
Neither the Promoter nor the promotional parties assume any responsibility or liability for:
a. communications line failure, regardless of cause, with regard to any equipment, systems, networks, lines, satellites, servers, computers or providers utilised in any aspect of this promotion;
b. inaccessibility or unavailability of the internet or the website or any combination thereof;
c. To the fullest extent allowed by law, any loss or injury resulting from promotional participation or the acceptance of a prize;
d. The promoter cannot be held responsible for the failure to fulfil the obligations of any third parties involved in this promotion, although we will always endeavour to minimise the effect to the participant of any such failure.
Winners will be notified and asked to provide an address for their prize to be posted. Selected prize winners have 28 days to respond with address details otherwise their prize will be reallocated. Prizes will be sent via courier service. Responsibility cannot be accepted for delays by the courier services or for incorrect details being provided by the winners.
There are no cash or other prize alternatives available. In the event of unforeseen circumstances the Promoter reserves the right to provide an alternative prize of equal or greater value.
The promoter’s decision regarding all promotional matters is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
By entering this promotion all participants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the terms and conditions.
Your details will only be used for the purpose of processing your entry. WHM will not use your details for marketing purposes or pass them onto another company or person.
