Organic New Season Lamb

It is with our wonderful Well Hung Lamb that we established our reputation.

Winning the Soil Association Organic Food Awards two years in succession (2001 & 2002), our lamb is very special. We use a variety of breeds, mainly Poll Dorset and Poll Dorset Cross. The Poll Dorset comes from the Dorset Horn breed, one of the oldest breeds of British sheep. 'Poll' means without horn, the Poll Dorsets can lamb naturally at any time of year, this is good for us as it helps us have a year round supply of Lambs.

Here in South Devon we are very lucky, the warm and wet climate means that the grass grows almost all year. The South west is amongst the first areas to have the much sought after new season lamb. This abundance of grass allows the livestock to graze on grass all year round, with additional silage during the lean winter months. We believe that this makes our Lamb particularly special.

Lamb Boxes

Well Hung Lamb is available in a number of different boxes including the Half Lamb Box, Joint Box and Little Lamb Box. Please let us know how you would like your lamb butchered - we can butterfly cut legs, bone and roll shoulders and cut joints in two.
